If you were craving some Chinese food lately, here’s everything you need to know about Pick Up Stix delivery. This article will cover delivery areas, fees, and, of course, delivery hours.
About Pick Up Stix
The story of how Pick Up Stix is as colorful and full of taste as their dishes. It all started back in 1982, when Charlie Zhang, an immigrant freshly arrived from China, came up with the idea of getting into the Chinese restaurant business.
Enticed by the fact that Americans like Chinese food, Zhang did his best to open up his first traditional Chinese restaurant. His vision materialized in 1989 when he managed to open his first diner in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.
To this day, the Pick Up Stix franchise expanded into 70 cities, covering most of the western part of California.
The restaurant’s signature dish is The House Special Chicken, prepare with garlic, soy, a secret sauce and caramelized chicken.
What made the chain so famous, even though early 90s America was oversaturated by Chinese restaurants? The owner’s ingenuity when it came to cooking dishes. Zhang wanted to do a little more than open another Chinese restaurant. He wanted to take the most popular Chinese recipes like Peel Chicken or Mongolian Beef and adapt them in order to make them more appealing to Westerners.
What can you Order from Pick Up Stix?

Their entire menu can be consulted on their official webpage, and you can even download it in a .pdf format for future reference.
How to Order from Pick Up Stix

As for ordering online, all that you’ll need to do is to create an account, sign in, order your meal, select the delivery location and confirm your order via the telephone.
Moreover, Pick Up Stix also has a corporate delivery and catering page, where you can pre-plan and order menus for up to 55 people.

Pick Up Stix Delivery Charges
Taxes and charges may be different depending on your current location, the size of the order or the service. For one person and family menus, Pick Up Stix has a delivery tax of 2.50 dollars per order, but you’ll need to order for at least 20 dollars for the restaurant to deliver.
Catering and corporate delivery are subjected to other price tiers. There are four types of menus included in the corporate delivery and catering section. The main difference between ordering a family meal and catering is that you can feed up to 55 people with less than 10 dollars per order.
There’s also a disadvantage here: to be able to buy 10 dollar meals, your minimum order must be at least 144 dollars, which would get you a menu for 13 to 15 persons. Moreover, there’s also the problem of the fine print on the corporate delivery/catering page.
According to the fine print, Pick Up Stix has the right to apply a different delivery price tier to catering, which means that the delivery prices for catering can be 15 percent higher than those for standard home delivery.
Pick Up Stix Delivery Hours
As home delivery is concerned, Pick Up Stix home delivers only in select locations, after 5 PM. However, these terms and conditions are also location dependent. For example, Pick Up Stix only delivers in Irvine, California, Thursday through Sunday, after 5 PM. The same condition applies for Oceanside.
In Long Beach, Pick Up Stix delivers Wednesday through Friday after 5 pm. The same terms and conditions apply if you opt for corporate delivery and catering. Moreover, if you require additional information about delivery hours, expenditures and menus, you can always call Pick Up Stix call center at 800-400-STIX, from Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm.
Our Conclusions
What we like: Pick Up Stix offers a wide range of dishes, including vegetarian and vegan dishes. Moreover, the restaurant is both family-friendly and wallet-friendly. The delivery system works very well, and the charges are not that high.
Another thing we like about Pick Up Stix is that they have the promo code system, which means customers can redeem discount codes and coupons and use for better food deals.
What we didn’t like: Pick Up Stix has a very limited delivery area and it does not grant the customer the possibility of home delivery outside the west part of California.
Sometimes, when calling the Pick Up Stix’s call center, you can wait up to 20 minutes the operator picks up your call.
In other locations, when ordering through phone, there’s a high wait time.
This is everything you need to know about the Pick Up Stix delivery system. So, next time you’re craving for Wonton soup or crème cheese Wantons, remember that Pick Up Stix is just the place for you and your family.
